Hours of operation: MONDAY to FRIDAY 7:00A.M. – 3:00P.M. (BOROUGH OFFICE OPEN 8AM-4PM FOR GARBAGE STICKER SALES)
Duties: garbage collection, recycling, yard waste, snow plowing, road patching, grass cutting, general maintenance, etc.

PAYMENT CAN BE MADE – AT THE BOROUGH BUILDING
By check, cash, money order: in-person, mailed payment, drop off payment in mailbox at the front of the borough building.
Debit or credit card: in-person or over the phone for card payments.

There will be a $5 shipping charge to mail the pack of stickers.

GARBAGE STICKERS
The 2026 garbage stickers will be available January 2, 2026. The annual fee is $125 per unit, which includes a pack of 52 stickers and MUST BE PAID TO DURYEA BOROUGH. The due date for the annual fee is April 30, 2026 and must be paid AT THE BOROUGH OFFICE for your annual fee to be considered paid for the year. There will be an additional $25 late fee per month after April 30th.

FULL PACKS CAN ONLY BE PURCHASED UNTIL September 30, 2026. As of October 1, 2026, stickers will only be sold individually.

You may continue to use old stickers throughout the new year, however, the annual fee MUST BE PAID TO THE BOROUGH no later than April 30, 2026.

Residents are reminded that all bags of garbage and bulk items must have a garbage sticker(s) to be picked up by the street department.  See schedule (listed under “Services/Garbage/recycling collection” for amount of stickers to be used for bulk items. Stickers can be purchased individually at the following locations:
